The Picnyk verification standard covers identity, business details, insurance, and background screening where applicable. A listing should not be treated as verified unless its profile displays a current verification status and the credentials relevant to the service.
Identity verification
The verification standard calls for a government-issued ID check. Look for a current identity status on the vendor profile; a listing alone does not prove completion.
Business verification
The verification standard calls for confirmation of the business behind a profile. Current completion should be disclosed on the vendor profile.
Insurance documentation
The verification standard calls for applicable liability-insurance documents and expiration tracking. Confirm the current status shown on the listing.
Background checks
Background screening is part of the verification standard where applicable. A completed screening should be represented by a current profile status.
How your booking is protected
Profile information, payment handling, and reporting tools provide important context, but customers should still review each listing's current status before booking.
Payment processing
Eligible payments are processed through Stripe. Review the applicable booking and cancellation terms before paying; Picnyk does not store your full card number.
Profile context
Review the information available on each profile, including service details, disclosed credentials, portfolio material, and any customer feedback shown.
Report a vendor or listing
If something looks off — a listing, a message, or a vendor’s conduct — contact Picnyk so the concern can be documented and assessed.
Ongoing compliance review
Picnyk's compliance system is designed to track document status and expiration dates as verification records are completed. Reports can trigger a manual review, and Picnyk may restrict or suspend a listing while a concern is investigated.
